I. Background on ACTED:
ACTED, l’Agence d’Aide à la Cooperation Technique et au Développement or the Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development, is an NGO registered in France with global operations in Central, South, and Southeast Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Africa.
ACTED has been active in Indonesia since April 2005, assisting those affected by the tsunami and Nias earthquake. Until 2008, ACTED focused mainly on reconstruction and recovery, while interventions since 2008 have shifted towards development initiatives with livelihoods support programs and disaster risk reduction activities. The current sector of intervention is Livelihoods Recovery in Lahewa, Lahewa Timur, and Afulu sub-districts, North Nias District.
ACTED is currently looking for qualified staff to fill the position of AMEU Monitor in our sub-base office (Lahewa), Nias, North Sumatera.
II. Responsibilities:
· Conducts data collection and processing based on procedures defined by the AME Officer and Head of AMEU to prepare reports as required;
· Prepares and adheres to weekly and monthly work plans for field visits and data entry;
· Ensures that project monitoring and evaluation tools are properly used in the bases and sub-bases through capacity building, as well as cross- and spot-checks;
· Provides the AME Officer with weekly reports via e-mail according to the standard format, including both challenges encountered and proposed solutions;
· Assists the AME Officer with translation during field visits;
· Performs other duties as requested and takes initiative to suggest other duties as he / she sees fit.
· Carries out additional jobs requested by the AME Officer or Head of AMEU
III. Qualifications:
· Bachelor Degree
· Good reporting skills
· Experience working with an INGO
· 2 years of relevant work experience as a surveyor
· Valid motorbike license
· Good command of English
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel,Word and Outlook
· Good interpersonal skills and self-driven attitude
· Knowledge of Nias language
