World Food Programme, Indonesia invites applications from the eligible candidates for the following position:
Position: Logistics Assistant (CTS)
Contract Type: Special Service Agreement or Service Contract
Duration: 6 months with possibility for extension
Duty Station: Kupang, Indonesia

Accountability:
Within delegated authority, the Logistics Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:
In accordance with established procedures, thoroughly check the information recorded in hard-copy documents received from the food suppliers, WFP warehouses in other locations, delivery orders, LTIs and dispatches for clarity and correctness and enter data from these documents, into the office’s Commodity Tracking System (COMPAS);
Prepare reports as frequently and promptly as required; maintain adequate filing systems and archives for swift and easy retrieval of information; analyze data from WFP’s information system and report any
discrepancies or irregularities to the supervisor and COMPAS data manager at the CO;
Send and receive data transmission on a daily basis and when requested, to and from Jakarta COMPAS main server;
Travel occasionally in the region when required to do so by the organization;
Share knowledge of COMPAS with other staff members in the unit and work to foster a team spirit;
Assist the Sub-office logistics focal point in the overall management of stocks and warehouses and ensure proper warehouse management and documentation are implemented;
Ensure data received by the Ledger Sheet/book from Warehouses are correct and entered in the Food Tracking System;
Perform and assist in the monthly physical inspection of the warehouses and/or any other function required to receive or release WFP commodities from the warehouses;

Education: Secondary School Education.
Experience: At least three years of progressively responsible support experience including at least one year in the field of finance, accounting, transport, insurance, statistics, operations, administrative
services or other related field.
Knowledge: Having experience in utilizing computers, including word processing, spreadsheet and other WFP software. Knowledge in WFP’s Commodity Tracking System (COMPAS) is an added value.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Desirable Skill: Knowledge in WFP’s warehouse management procedures and documentations.
