Senior Evaluation

Devex is currently assisting one of the largest and most highly respected social research organizations in the United States in searching for candidates for the Evaluation Methods Specialist position for a potential USAID bid.

The organization conducts numerous research projects involving opinion surveys and other data collection and technology strategies in the following areas: society and culture; economics and population; education and child development; health; substance abuse; mental health; criminal justice; statistics and methodology; and technology.

Position Requirements:

Master’s degree in international development or a related field such as economics, sociology, anthropology, public administration, etc. Ph.D. is preferred.
At least 10 years of professional experience in international development is required; including at least 5 years of work designing, executing and reviewing evaluations of development programs.
Expertise in research or evaluation design (both experimental and quasi-experimental design), including the appropriate use of quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods is required. Survey design, sampling design, and quantitative analysis skills are desirable.
Should have a significant amount of time spent in developing countries.
Candidates should have a U.S work authorization (U.S citizenship or work visa)
Fluent in English; Fluent in Spanish or French highly preferred

This position will be based in Washington D.C with short-term travels to posts with difficult and possibly hazardous conditions.
