Consultancy opportunity for LOCAL COORDINATOR SUPPORTING SNV STUDIES IN INDONESIA

With more than 100 offices in 35 countries across Asia, Africa, the Balkans and Latin America, SNV provides a unique blend of integrated services and solutions tailor-made to the specific needs of our public and private sector clients that are critical to their sustainable growth and performance.

SNV will conduct in the following months two specific studies in Indonesia:
a) A ‘country scoping study’ that explores realistic potential for SNV to operate in Indonesia with specific attention to potential entry points for Agriculture, WASH (Water and Sanitation), Renewable Energy (RE), and REDD (Reducing Emissions through Deforestation and Forest Degradation).
b) Inclusive Business Investment Fund Feasibility Study

Through this study the market opportunity for private equity funds and private sector companies financial needs focused on Inclusive Business ventures will be determined and validated through primary and secondary evidence--based information.
Accordingly, we are looking for a consultant who will
a) Support the SNV scoping mission team to conduct the ‘country scoping study’ by providing information on legal requirements, a country analysis through the lens of SNV’s vision and strategy, opportunities that match SNV capabilities, networking, etc.; and
b) Supervise and support the specialized consultants conducting the Inclusive business Investment Fund feasibility study in Indonesia.

Full time assignment period: November 2011 - March 2012.

REQUIREMENTSLOCAL COORDINATOR
• Background on development projects, business administration/ economics;advanced degree preferred
• Experience (at least 7 years) working with international development organizations and private sector.
• Good knowledge on the WASH, RE, REDD, and Agriculture sectors in Indonesia
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong network with development organizations, donors, private sector companies and public sector institutions
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Good report writing skills
• Strong facilitation/coordination skills
