The World Agroforestry Centre (also known as the International Centre for Research in Agroforestry or ICRAF) is an independent research institution which generates science-based knowledge about the complex role trees play in agricultural landscapes and rural livelihoods. As part of the Centre’s work to bring tree-based solutions to bear on poverty and environmental problems, researchers – working in close collaboration with partners – are developing new technologies, tools and policy recommendations for increased food security and ecosystem health.

About the position
Under the guidance and remote supervision of the IT Manager in HQ, IT Officer provides overall administration of multi-user, multi-computers network infrastructure, and provide support for applications development. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring optimum performance of servers and network services, as well as security and backup of the system. IT Officer works in close collaboration with the operations, programme and project teams and third parties as well as for resolving complex IT- related issues. The position supervises the IT Assistant and reports to Regional Management Services Leader, focusing the achievement of the following tasks :
1. Administer and provide problem solving assistanceto all computer and IT users
2. Ensures proper servers administration
3. Ensures effective administration of Network and Firewall
4. Ensures provision of effective IT helpdesk and IT Support for Meetings
5. Administers ICRAF-SEA website and supports to development of intranet and new applications
6. Supports knowledge building and sharing

Requirements
1. Minimum Bachelor Degree (S1) in computer science
2. Minimum 5 years of working experience in network administration and use of hardware/software, telecommunications facilities, knowledge of database packages, experience in web design.
3. Functional Competencies:
1. Administration of Servers :
§ Proficiency in administering Windows servers (Window Server 2003, Exchange Server, ISA Server, MS-SQL Server, MS Share Point, etc.)
§ Proficiency in administering Web and Database Servers (Apache, MySQL, PHP, etc.)
1. Network Administration :
§ Ability to administer Network (Cisco) Appliances (Router, Firewall, Switches)
§ Working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems
1. Development and Operational Effectiveness :
§ Ability to provide IT support services including IT hardware/ infrastructure support, ERP support, other IT applications support, web design and maintenance
§ Good knowledge of PC/LAN operating systems, Microsoft Windows, corporate protection systems, programming with UNIX, Perl, PHP, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, knowledge of web design, knowledge of Novell Netware network administration, ERP
d. IT Support and helpdesk :
§ Focuses on result for the client and responds positively to feedback
§ Consistently approaches work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude
§ Demonstrates openness to change and ability to manage complexity

1. Well organized; able to meet deadline
2. Having good command of English and Bahasa Indonesia
