I'm Chris, I represent PT. Austraining Nusantara (PTAN), an
Indonesian organisation specialised in managing and delivering
international development and education projects worldwide.
As part of the Australian Government's Australian Volunteers for
International Development program, Austraining places skilled
Australians on volunteer assignments across Asia, the Pacific, Africa,
Latin America and the Caribbean. Australian Volunteers work with local
Host Organisations to reduce poverty and achieve sustainable development
through skills exchange, institutional strengthening and capacity
building. We are interested in giving you the opportunity to be a Host
Organisation.
Why become a Host Organisation?
Being a Host Organisation provides you with the opportunity to:
· Gain the knowledge and experience of an Australian
Volunteer as they work with you to pass on their skills and build the
capacity of your organisation
· Strengthen or create links with organisations in Australia
and raise the profile of your organisation
· Contribute to the professional development of Australians
pursuing international careers in your sector
To host an Australian Volunteer you need to:
1. Conduct a Host Organisation Capacity Assessment to identify why
you need a volunteer to work with your organisation
2. Develop an assignment proposal
3. Submit your assignment proposal by 16 October 2012
4. Prepare a suitable workstation and identify accommodation
options
There are three streams of the Australian Volunteers program to choose
from based on your needs:
· The Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development (AYAD)
program places passionate young Australians that have experiences in
capacity building, for assignments up to 12 months. For further

· The Australian Volunteers for International Development
(AVID) program places skilled Australian Volunteers in developing
countries to work with local counterparts, for assignments up to 30

· Australian Business Volunteers (ABV) places skilled and
experienced experts to contribute towards the alleviation of poverty in
developing communities and contribute towards their sustainable growth,

Where do we work?
We have operation at Aceh, Bogor, Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Bali, NTB, NTT,
Kalimantan Tengah (and other province in Kalimantan can be discuss),
Sulawesi Selatan, and Sulawesi Tenggara.
We really need your support in promoting our free program for Kalimantan
and Sulawesi Selatan and Sulawesi Tenggara.
So, all you need to do is fill in a form that we provide and then you
will receive a volunteer(s). We support the volunteer's housing and
allowance.
