Overall supervision by Deputy Chief of Mission, in close coordination with Psychosocial Support Coordinator and Senior Migration Health Adviser, for technical guidance.

II. Organizational Context and Scope
Under the direct supervision of the Programme Coordinator in Medan, in close coordination with Psychosocial Support / Social Workerand under overall supervision Deputy Chief of Mission, in close coordination with Psychosocial Support Coordinator and Senior Migration Health Adviser, for technical guidance, the incumbent will implement the educational activities and expected to manage the overall process of the psychosocial assistance activities for the irregular migrants in Regional Office in Medan.
III. Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1.    Conduct Educational activities on a regular basis
2.    Identify standard curriculum for different educational activities and adopt them to the capacity of the beneficiaries
3.    Establish mechanisms to periodically monitor beneficiaries’ level of knowledge acquirement on subjects and provide monthly reports to IOM.
4.    Where beneficiary volunteers are willing to conduct classes for others, propose and implement capacity building activities to improve their teaching skills.
5.    Undertake other duties that may be assigned from time to time which are commensurate to the position.

Technical
a)    Knowledge in assisting emergency operations activities;
b)    Effectively applies knowledge of psychosocial issues in execution of responsibilities at appropriate level
c)    Maintains confidentiality and discretion in appropriate areas of work
d)    Proven ability and experience in liaising with UN, Government Departments/Authorities and other international organizations;
e)    Proficient in computer applications: Ms-Office..

V. Education and Experience

a)      Diploma Degree inrelevant subject matter or obtained specific diplomas in teaching;A university degree in any of these fields will be highly regarded.
b)     having affiliations with existing education institutions is a clear advantage.
c)      Proven capacity and at least four years of experience in teaching the specific subject matter (English/Computer/Arabic/ or other subject depend on the type of education requested)
d)     Willing to conduct class in detention area and other areas as assigned by the organization

VI. Languages
Proficient in the English language, proficiency in languages spoken by migrants (Farsi, Arabic, Tamil, Myanmarese) is an advantage.
