Nutrition International (previously
Micronutrient Initiative, MI) is an international Non-Government Organization
(NGO) dedicated to ensuring that the world’s most vulnerable – especially women
and children in developing countries – get the vitamins and minerals they
need to survive and thrive. With headquarters in Ottawa, Canada MI maintains
regional offices in New Delhi, India and Nairobi, Kenya that manage our country
offices in Asia and Africa.
NI Indonesia has been supporting
the government in implementing an intervention on the Weekly Iron and Folic
Acid Supplementation for school-going adolescent girls to reduce the prevalence
of anemia among them in two pilot districts, Cimahi and Purwakarta Districts,
West Java province. NI will continue in supporting the WIFAS program for
adolescent girls in the two demonstration district until March 2018, and
further NI is scaling up the program to two provinces, i.e. West Java and
Banten.
Prior to exiting the two
demonstration districts, an exit strategy meeting will be conducted with
district stakeholders to achieve a smooth transition and program continuation
without NI support. These terms of reference are for recruiting a local agency
to help in organizing these advocacy meetings
The activity will be conducted in March
2018.
