on civil society building and sustainable economic development. Hivos Southeast
Asia provides financial support for local NGOs, is active in networking,
lobbying and exchanging knowledge and expertise. For its Hivos Southeast Asia
seeks qualified Indonesian candidates for the position of:
Title : Consultant for Graphic/Lay-out Artist
Duty
Station : Manila, Philippines
Duration :
Six (6) months – May to November 2018
Report to :
Open Contracting Program Manager
The Graphic/Lay-out
Artist works closely with the Open Contracting Program Manager as well as other
related stakeholders.
Roles and responsibilities:
1.
Design and lay-out two (2) sets of infographics
related to open contracting;
2.
Design one (1) advocacy poster on open
contracting;
3.
Come up with at least 2-3 prototype designs of
the infographics and advocacy posters and present the prototypes for approval
and/or suggestions for enhancement;
4.
Incorporate suggestions in the selected designs
and submit for final approval;
5.
Execute the approved final design within the
agreed timeline;
6.
Prepare printing specifications in consultation
with the open contracting team;
7.
Meet with the representative of the selected
printing supplier, if necessary;
8.
Coordinate with the open contracting team as to
the progress of the work.
Knowledge & experience:
·
Experienced in the design of advocacy materials
in various forms: posters, flyers, leaflets, and handbooks for printing and/or
web publishing
·
Knowledgeable in design elements to create a
sense of harmony and order in the advocacy materials
·
Experience in designing communication materials
related to governance and development is an advantage
·
Working knowledge of layout software such as
InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro and other software programs for
design like Photoshop etc.;
·
Ability to communicate well and work with
others, particularly in ensuring that the advocacy materials reflect the key
messages identified by Hivos and its partners;
·
Able to work independently and take
initiatives, but also be a team worker
