The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) was
established as an intergovernmental organization with the objective of
promoting sustainable development of developing and emerging countries
including the least developed countries. GGGI is dedicated to supporting
the creation and diffusion of the model of economic growth known as
“green growth”. The green growth model integrates economic growth,
environmental sustainability, poverty reduction and social inclusion.

Indonesia is looking for a policy expert that will assess the existing
policy in energy sector (i.e. Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency)
and provide recommendations regarding the policy together with Renewable
Energy Investment Expert and Urban Planning Expert in Energy
Efficiency.
Requirements:
- An advanced education degree (minimum master degree) in public policy/energy policy/energy economics/energy law or other relevant degree.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesia’s energy sector, especially regarding policy, regulation and program implementation for renewable energy and energy efficiency.
- In-depth knowledge and minimum 15 (five) year experience in providing policy advice, policy monitoring, policy review/analysis for government in developing countries, experience in other countries is an advantage.
- Familiarity on evaluating energy policy using the 4 main criteria: effectiveness, efficiency, equity, and institutional feasibility, or other criteria as considered suitable by the consultant, with sound and strong justification.
- Being able to communicate professionally and effectively with technical, managerial, and/or decision makers in Bahasa or English and proven ability to write clearly and well in English.
- Being able to secure collaboration and agreement with the partners, either government or other donors, reflecting empathy of perspectives and identifying recognition of mutual/complimentary interest.
- Excellent in report development and presenting the study results to related project stakeholders, Governments (national/local), GGGI, other stakeholders).
- Possessing cultural sensitivity and respect on differences, including in opinions..
- Has an experienced with SEA or understanding of the SEA principle will be an advantage.
