in Indonesia is changing for the better. We've begun to build a
national organization that aims to be a strong, local, and
self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia. To this end, SC
Indonesia has been designated as a “Prospect Member”. As
‘Prospect
Member’ Indonesia has been identified as part of the next way of new
member development, which focuses on strengthening and localizing our
voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Indonesia has
been authorized by member ballot to start fundraising
locally as a first step towards building a financially sustainable
local organization. Future work will also involve developing a strong
local governance structure and building key partnerships with local
government, the private sector, local civil society
among others. Success of the pilot phase will set the Indonesia on a
pathway to full membership. We are currently seeking to fill the
following position:
MEAL Coordinator (BISA Project)
1 (one)
position based in
Jakarta
ROLE PURPOSE
:
The
MEAL Coordinator oversees the quality of project monitoring and
evaluation across BISA program across Indonesia. This includes working
closely with the Chief of Party and Deputu Chief Of Party to ensure
that projects contain appropriate monitoring and evaluation system. It
also includes working with Project Managers, National ME Specialist, and
staff under BISA programs to ensure that appropriate
program monitoring and evaluation systems is established including
ensuring the quality of all MEAL plans and reports for each individual
project. This position will be based in Jakarta and require travel to
project sites throughout West Java and NTT provinces.
She/he
has responsibility for the day to day Management Information System of
Monitoring and Evaluation Accountability and Learning on Signature
Program including designing and developing the MIS, data analyses and
support the data reporting with the overarching goal of enhancing donor
relations and stewardship.
The post holder will also contribute to the standards as noted in the Prospect Member Framework as follows:
•
Responsible/Support on-going development and emergency programming of
the existing portfolio in Indonesia in order to achieve
ambitious breakthroughs for children,
• Ensuring continued development & management of a high performing MEAL system of Signature Program.
• Contributing to the development of strong partnerships.
•
Contribute to effective advocacy for children and collaborate with
other departments to implement advocacy initiatives that support
the theory of change.
• Contribute to ensuring active participation and role in the movement.
•
Helping to build a strong brand for the organization by ensuring
compliance with global brand procedures and awareness of brand
in local market.
• Effectively support the successful pilot of the Prospect Member project in Indonesia.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
- Minimum master degree in sociology, social work and relevant social studies.
- Having experience in ME program at least for 5 years.
- Good understanding of child protection and care issues in Indonesia and experience in direct working with children, families and communities.
- Experience working with an international NGO or similar organization.
- Solid project management skills with a proven history of delivering results.
- Previous experience of managing and developing a team and the ability to lead, motivate and develop others.
- Ability to analyses information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken Indonesian, strong English written and spoken skills.
- Ability and willingness to frequent travel to field locations.
