Palladium is appointed by USAID to manage USAID-funded Health technical Assistance Project (BANTU), to support USAID Indonesia’s Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS) by rapidly leveraging specialized short and long-term technical assistance to USAID, USAID-funded programs; the Government of Indonesia (GOI), and other organizations and agencies as required.
We are currently seeking eight (8) short term Lab Analysts for COVID-19 to be seconded to the Provincial Health Office and District Health Offices in Jakarta to support the Indonesian Government’s global efforts in suppressing further transmission of COVID-19 and preventing the re-emergence of COVID-19.
JOB SUMMARY:
The USAID/Indonesia is looking for eight (8) short-term Lab Analysts to respond to the need for precise and accurate PCR examinations for DKI Jakarta residents in suppressing the transmission of new positive COVID-19 cases in DKI Jakarta and the immediate handling of actions. The individuals will carry out technical laboratory activities from preparation of sampling to analyzing samples. They will assist with PCR-related logistical monitoring and reporting to related departments to ensure continuity of lab checks without stock out. The analysts will maintain the quality of laboratory technical activities, carry out activities recording and reporting including in occupational health and safety, conduct consultation and coordination with the person in charge of the laboratory and other health workers, and prepare specimen reference material. All activities will refer to the SOP for laboratory examinations set by the Ministry of Health and other policies regulated by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office.
These short-term positions are for Indonesian (local hire) for a three (3) month period with technical guidance and leadership from Jakarta’s Provincial Health Office and USAID/Indonesia.
REQUIREMENTS: Diploma or degree in health research and analyst, virology, or other related field, with minimum of 3 years working experience as lab analyst, preferably in research or government institution; strong analytical skills, including ability to compile and interpret lab research result as needed; experience with developing and writing technical document and report for various audience; proficient skill in MS Office and other related computer software; excellent written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa Indonesia are required; a fast learner on topics related to public health, international donors, Government of Indonesia systems, challenges and opportunities of the health sector in Indonesia is desirable.
